The socialist-leaning Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics have begun an offensive, with Russia’s support, against the fascist Ukrainian government and fascist militias to reclaim the territory the fascists have stolen.

The question of who started the war is unimportant. This is a war against fascism in Ukraine and against the imperialist powers who support it. Above all, this is a revolutionary war.
Our party, TKEP/Leninist, supports the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics in this revolutionary war and announces that we stand in revolutionary international solidarity with them.
Our party, TKEP/Leninist, calls on all revolutionary, communist, and progressive forces and the working class and oppressed peoples of the world to support both of these People’s Republics. This is the most important revolutionary, internationalist duty.
Our party, TKEP/Leninist, calls on the working class, working people, and poor people of Turkey and Kurdistan, as part of the global working class, to join in support of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.
The fact that the bourgeois government of Russia has been forced by to support the People’s Republics because of its national interests should not be cause for hesitation. Imperialist apologists in Turkey and around the world have, either using Russia as an excuse or with empty words, abandoned this internationalist duty and argued for remaining neutral. In fact, as a necessary outcome of its own national interests, Russia has supported socialist, popular governments in countries like Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Nicaragua against US imperialism acting as a shield, so to speak.
If this operation, begun by communists and revolutionaries of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, against Ukrainian fascism and which boldly challenges US, British, and German imperialism is victorious, it will be an enormous source of morale and embolden the working class and the oppressed and exploited working peoples of the world.
Victory would mean defeat not only for the fascist Ukrainian government but also the imperialist forces mentioned above who back Ukraine and encourage its attacks. Thus, the victory of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics means victory for the global proletariat.
Their victory would also be a turning point because it would be a humiliating defeat for the imperialists who cheat and steal across the globe like a band of thieves. Their weakness, that they can be defeated would be clear to all and accelerate the collapse of the imperialist-capitalist system.
The bold steps of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics to challenge to imperialist states deeply shocked and angered all imperialist forces and dependent states, who are nothing more than their lapdogs. The attack has knocked them off their stride. In the midst of the fits this has caused, all imperialists, especially the British, are foaming at the mouth and have rained down threats. But their howls are in vain. They can no longer scare anyone.
The situation has drawn clear battlelines across the world. On one side the US, British, and EU imperialists are joined by reactionary and fascist states like Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, and Turkey. On the other side, socialist-popular governments Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Nicaragua, and Venezuela are joined by powers forced to support them by their own national interests such as Russia, China, and Belarus. This divide has become crystal clear.
Our party, TKEP/Leninist, without a doubt belongs to the side opposed to the imperialist-capitalist system. Our party, TKEP/Leninist, calls on the proletariat and working class of Turkey and Kurdistan to join the side of the global working class, the side of revolutionary forces who struggle for the liberation of labor.
Regardless of their reasons, those who call us not to choose sides serve the imperialist camp. The liberation of the proletariat is not reached through “neutrality,” it is reached by dismantling the imperialist-capitalist system, by defeating imperialist forces, by destroying bourgeois hegemony which represents these forces, and establishing the rule of the proletariat.
The war could spread. Such a development would send all capitalist countries of the world into an economic and political crisis, further ripening revolutionary conditions. In this situation, the duty of the global proletariat would be to use the resulting conditions to launch a revolution and destroy capitalism.
A page has been turned in the new historical phase we are in, a page upon which bourgeois hegemony will be smashed and the rule of labor will be established in every nation.
Our hearts are with the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, the working class of these republics, their working people and communist forces!
Long live Proletariat Internationalism!
